We had a lovely stay at Vipin's place for my husband's birthday, and we will definitely come back again. It's a hidden gem, very quiet and beautiful place. Vipin is an amazing host, he was helpful every step of the way. And he even went a step further to offer us a birthday cake. The walk to the beach is very nice, and the food in the restaurant was delicious. We had the best grilled fish we had so far in India, and overall experience was magical. I would definitely recommend Vipin's place over some beach rentals that are offered in the area as they might be loud and not very clean. Vipin puts so much love into his space, that it becomes truly magical for all his guests.

Amazing place in the lap of nature! This is a true paradise for nature-lovers: if you are happy waking up with the wild peacock's cry, seeing monkeys from your veranda, have dinner on the riverside surrounded by beautiful flowers, then you will enjoy this place as much as we did! The bungalows are spacious, very private, with excellent beds. Everything works perfectly, electricity, hot water, shower, WIFI. The restaurant is yummy, portions are quite big and the service very efficient. Mr. Vipin, your host, is amazing: in his ideas about creating the place, his views on nature, in his commitment to this place (e.g. planting 5500 plants!). And he is also very reactive, your questions on internet are sometimes answered within a few minutes! Always present, he is truly friendly and helpful, wether with informations, or tickets for ongoing travel. One of the best places we have ever stayed, we loved every moment of our stay and are very much looking forwar to come back again!

We visited the Samyama resort (Jungle Cottages) right at the end of the tourist season: this meant that the climate was getting hotter and places (including the in-house restaurant) were starting to shut down. Tip: Even though the weather isn't ideal off-season, the beach and the forest is just fabulous with no people around. Highlights: 1. Anuj Bhai (the caretaker) and Simha (the resident cat). Both are super welcoming. Anuj went to lengths to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The hospitality is excellent. 2. There are so many birds and fruit trees around. You'll see drongos, bright yellow and black birds, and we even saw a mongoose. 3. Empty, clean, picturesque beach. 4. No mosquitoes. Cons: 1. Some of the cottages have glass skylights. Unless covered by tarp, they can turn the room into a hot greenhouse. Adjustable shades would be a great improvement. 2. The beach is nearly inaccessible at night. The path through the thicket is pitch black and rustling (with wildlife).
