Beautiful surroundings, comfortable bed, excellent wood burning stove. However, no towels/hand towels in bathroom, very poor shower, no big saucepan, only two large plates, no dustpan & brush for basic cleaning and to top it all, having to pay for electricity. We are Airbnb hosts ourselves, we charge less than a third of their daily price and offer fresh bread, milk, fruit & eggs etc, electricity, wood and coal are included in the price.
Peaceful, secluded and great walks and cycles from the door. Inside, comfortable and homely. Enjoyed a few days without modern distrations!
A beautiful, tranquil cottage with great views of the stars and beautiful walks from the door. I would recommend it massively and the woodburner is very cosy. There's no phone signal or wifi but thats great and relaxing so definitely a plus. However it is very hard to find and the directions the host (cottages,com) will give you are useless. Go into Balnaboth estate after going to Prosen youth hostel, past the phonebox, and then follow the route to Balnaboth house and when there continue past it to the cottage in the back. Make sure you load this route into your maps/ head well in advance as there is no phone signal for miles before the cottage.
A wonderfully remote and charming cottage. Be aware that getting anywhere takes time and be well stocked as popping out to the shop is not an option. Wonderfully peaceful place where you can escape the world.
