Basin Head Provincial Park
This is a famous place that kids go jumping off the bridge. Ideal for maybe 10-16 years old or so. Note: this season it is not open for jumping, still a great spot but about 1.5 hours to drive.
A famous beach, you can jump of a bridge here! It's incredibly busy, and a long drive but worth it.
Rated one of the top beaches in Canada, this is a must see! Basin Head features the singing sands, that squeak as you walk due to the high silica content. Not only is the beach incredible, there is also a children's play area, shower facilities, ice cream, restaurant, gift shop and fisheries…
This beach is a bit far to travel to, but is a place people love. We refer to it as the " Singing Sands"
“This is where the musical "Anne of Green Gables" has played every summer since 1965. Art displays and crafts throughout the centre - worth the trip just to walk around and look or take in a meal at Mavor's and then a show !”
“Amazing Italian food. Wonderful chefs. Great service. Beautiful ambience. One of my favs. ”
“GREAT FOOD AND WONDERFUL LIVE ENTERTAINMENT JUST A 10 MINUTE DRIVE FROM THE COTTAGE. BEST TO MAKE RESERVATIONS AS IT CAN GET QUITE BUSY !”
“Locally roasted coffee with vegan and hipster vibes. Exhibits local artists and is located on Victoria Row - a pedestrian street in the summer that everyone should frequent. ”
