Drinks, of course, and thankfully, drinks served at Reggae on the River will not hurt your wallet, as it is reasonably priced and offers a wide variety of options. The music ranges from classics to modern reggae, and while you might feel as if you’ve just been transported to Jamaica, the soft flow of Malacca River and the animated chatter of its goers certainly reminds you where you are.

If you don’t know what can relax you after a long, sunny and busy day at Jonker Street, one of the best place to unwind is Reggae on the River. As the name says this is an original café in Melaka, that is opened 24/7 and plays only reggae music. You can enjoy staying in the rattan chair, overlook the river and watch people go by. This is the place to meditate, to chat, to unwind, to sing, to dance, to have a cool bear, to forget about everything and everyone and to let yourself be carried away by the unique atmosphere. Reasonably priced drinks, the most attentive and understanding staff and the lovely ambiance worth each penny and minute. Tourists can relax there after mingling in the crowd for hours. Locals can take their special ones and enjoy the amazing sunset and the river’s murmur.
