There’s a swimming pool really close to Santa Monica for those people that don’t really want to be in the sand and in the ocean. It’s a great family spot for finding some parental headspace. This is a great place to spend the afternoon and watch the sunset. As the sun falls away, we're normally left with a greater sense of ease and peace of mind. You can turn up with nothing: they dish out sunscreen and towels, and there are chairs and umbrellas. Sometimes it’s nice to go somewhere and know that you don’t have to think about anything.

Many people like this place for a beach day. Less hectic and there’s parking. Remember tho, if you’re going to the beach, there’s always traffic so brace yourself.

This is the best-kept secret in Santa Monica. It looks like a private club, but is open to the public. They have a pool, volleyball courts, splash pad for little ones, restaurant and a boardwalk that goes all the way down to the water's edge. All the grounds are well-maintained throughout the day, which is not found in all places along the Santa Monica Beach. Their parking lots allow for hourly or daily parking, which is helpful if you are just stopping for a short time.
