Nylon is a legendary bar in the heart of Kapana, a favourite spot for Plovdiv’s bohemians and the city’s artistic visitors. Long after the bar’s opening, its façade was covered in nylon sheets giving it an underground look - hence the name of the bar. Today you can still sing Queen songs along with strangers, smoke cigarettes indoors and remember our typical old-fashioned loos which have evoked the exclamation “Someone must have stolen the toilet seat!” in some of our foreign friends. When it’s not raining, the rooftop of the bar can be opened to let in some pleasant fresh air.
