The Ruskin Museum is an award-winning ‘Cabinet of Curiosities’ telling the Story of Coniston from the first Stone Age fell-walkers, who made and traded stone axes, to the Jet Era of 50s and 60s when speed ace Donald Campbell broke 4 World Water Speed Records in Bluebird K7 on Coniston Water.

The Ruskin Museum has been telling Coniston's history for more than 100 years. It has 3+1 sections; Geological history including copper mining in Coniston, Donald Campbell and Bluebird K7, John Ruskin's history and special exhibition. The admission fee is £6.50 for adults, £3.25 for children and £5.50 concession fee. Children under 5 are free admission. They open from Tuesday to Sunday and from 10:30am to 3pm in winter, and open every day in summer. Don't forget to go to the backyard to see the great view of the mountains and beautiful miniatures of historic stone houses in the Lake District.
