Poh Than Jao Wat is one of the most important Buddhist statues in which is located westerly old hall of the temple, with 2 statues of an elderly gentlemen called Ta Khee-lek (grandpa Khee-lek), a famous local who won many lotteries after consulting the Poh Than Jao Wat statue. Probably the highlight of your visit will be the Grand Pagoda which contains a small splinter from the bone of Lord Buddha.

Of the many temples found on Phuket island, the Wat Chalong temple is the largest and most revered. It’s one of must see place when you come to Phuket. The temple complex was built in its current location in 1837. Some remains of older structures have been found, however it is unknown exactly how old they are.
