the restaurant Gaitanaros is a traditional fish tavern on the sea, in the picturesque Kitries, in Western (Messinian) Mani. The fish in Gaitanaros are not just fresh. They are also long-line fished from the deep and clear waters of the Messinian Gulf, by the same family that owns the tavern. And as everyone says, the best fish is fresh. And if it is also grilled, and served with ice lemon, then its deliciousness takes off... The oil and tomatoes and greens and almost everything you will taste at the Gaitanaros restaurant are also family-produced. The Gaitanaros restaurant operates in winter and summer. In winter you will be served next to the fireplace or outside if it's a nice day, and in summer next to the sea. The sea in front of the restaurant is crystal clear and suitable for swimming.

You will have the opportunity to enjoy your meal and your Ouzo right next to the sea. Tip: Make sure to go early at the midday in order to find easily a table and we recommend you fried cod with "skordalia".
