An easy way to get between Greenwich Peninsula and Royal Docks with magnificant views over East London. Glide above the Thames in the Emirates Air Line cable car and enjoy great views of London. Using the cable car is an easy way to get from the Greenwich Peninsula to the Royal Docks. The cable car trip takes approximately 10 minutes. However, during peak times (7am to 9am Monday to Friday) the journey takes roughly five minutes. The cars, which accommodate 10 people, arrive every 30 seconds. You can use your Oyster and Visitor Oyster card or a contactless payment card to pay for the trip. After 7pm, enjoy extended Night Flights (12 to 13 minutes each way) with music and video in cabins to enhance your in-flight experience as you watch the city come alive after dark.

The Emirates Air Line is a great way to cross The Thames and gives you a unique perspective on London. You’ll get a great view of many of the sites mentioned here in Greenwich as well as further afield towards the London Eye and beyond. A one-way ride for an adult is £4.50 or £3.40 with an Oyster Card.

One of the most affordable ways to catch fabulous sights in London is a boat ride with the Thames Clippers leaving from underneath the London Eye and taking the trip all the way to Greenwich (for Cutty Sark etc) or even 1 stop further to North Greenwich for the O2 Centre (world famous concert hall) and the Emirates Airlines Cable Car across the Thames. You may be able to pay for all of that with a pre-loaded Oyster Card (make sure to put at least £15, better £20 on it) and you will be able to pack it all in: Big Ben, House of Parliament, London Eye, The Globe, St Pauls, Tower, Canary Wharf etc etc. You will love it!!!!

Catch the cable car across The Thames, get amazing views over the city and east london. Use your oyster card, don't buy a tourist ticket. On the other side, catch The Thames clipper rivertaxi down the river, past the Anthony Gormley sculptures, warehouses, docks, the Tower of London and get off at the London Eye and Tate Modern.
