Esta praça é a mais importante da zona histórica de Guimarães. É uma espécie de Grand Place e se comunica com a Praça de Santiago. É uma bela praça rectangular, pavimentada, rodeada de edifícios medievais com grandes balcões, arcadas, belas galerias... É geralmente muito animada, com bares e cafés.
