Whilst you cant walk there, the small electric train station which services Arashiyama is only a 10 minute walk from Jam Jar. Well worth spending a morning or afternoon in Arashiyama. My tip is to arrive before 8:00am to avoid the crowds (9:00 am is too late).

Feel tiny at the Arashiyama bamboo forest. The Bamboo Forest is hugely popular and gets extremely busy throughout the day. Walking through the soaring bamboo stalks of the densely packed Bamboo Forest in the shadows of the morning light is eerily beautiful and incredibly serene. The Bamboo Forest thoroughly deserves its spot as an iconic Kyoto sight and one of its most photographed spots!

(Bamboo road) Famous bamboo road(100m) near Tenryu temple.you can see the scenery in TV,famous Dramas too.From Arashi yama 20min walk. *************************************** 有名的竹子路。（100m）靠近天龙寺。在电视里面常常看到的漂亮的风景。从岚山走路20分钟。
