Queen Maeve's grave is located at the top of Knocknarea Mountain in Strandhill. it is 8 3 km from our B&B approximately 13 minute drive. it takes approximately 45 minutes to climb to the top. According to Irish Folklore, it is consideredlucky to carry a small stone from the bottom of the mountain and place it on Queen Maeve's Grave and make a wish

A nice 2 hour hike to Queen Maeve's grave on top of Knocknarea

This is an relatively easy mountain to climb and there are stunning views from the top. You can climb it from Strandhill village and also from Grange North side. The complete loop around takes approx. 2.5 hrs.
