You've heard of Voodoo donuts...well here's the truth, no Portland Locals go there. It's hype, it's awful, it's good marketing only... I'll sprinkle Cap'n Crunch on my own jelly donut, thank you. Blue Star IS THE gourmet donut. The tastes they can get into those delicous circles is just mind blowing, and I don't even have a sweet tooth

2 miles away, this one is likely going to involve hopping in your car or on your bike. On Mississippi Avenue, lots to do/see/eat/drink. Lively area full of young people doing fun things. If you like donuts or litle fluffy things that melt in your mouth, Blue Star is for you. Described as "donuts for adults," they use french butter and brioche flour to make a delicious freakin' donut unlike any other you have likely had. Featured in Vogue, bon appétit, and thrillist, lots of amazing flavors and seasonal specials that will delight you. My fav is the OG (Orxata Glaze). Perfection can be quite simple.
