來到摩羅上街，您或許會看到70 年代的電影海報、舊月曆、舊報紙雜誌。而要介紹摩羅上街這個售賣古董雜貨的地攤小街，可以從街道名稱背後的故事開始。摩羅上街的「摩羅」，是過往香港人對印度人的稱呼。香港開埠初期，不少香港警察都是印度人，他們在警察局附近的摩羅上街擺地攤，售賣二手貨品，所以這裡就叫「摩羅上街」，英文街名則是Upper Lascar Road（Lascar即印度士兵）。
