A 24 million year old volcanic ash deposit that is the backdrop for many movies such as Cowboys and Aliens. A wonderous place to hike, take pictures, and be in awe of the earth's forces that created this.

Just down the road from the yurt, Plaza Blanca now has a gate with a code entrance. All guests are now required to register on the Dar Al Islam website to receive the code to enter. Absolutely beautiful place to hike and explore.

It’s hard to describe what you will see here. It feels celestial. Only one mile from your stay. This is private property and you need to access through two coded gates. Ask us for the code. It’s not to be missed!
