Beech HIll Farm is a MOFGA-certified organic farm where you can find locally grown produce and local food products. It is located at 171 Beech Hill Road, less than 3 miles from your stay. Hours: Tues-Sat 9-4.

This is a wonderful local farm stand. The opposite side of the lake over the mountain. The produce is unbelievable! They also have other goodies, local maple syrup, baked goods, local yogurt and cheese, meats, etc. Go to their website to learn more. 171 Beech Hill Road Mount Desert, ME 04660

Sorry - no picture... but just wait to you see the views. Beech Hill farm is a nice organic farm but it's really Beech Hill Mountain that I want to recommend. Drive past Beech Hill Farm to the end of the road (not far at all). Park your car and hike up Beech Hill Mt. Within minutes you will have great views. This is a great mountain for kids. It will take you about 30 minutes to get to the top where there is a fire tower for even more views. It's my favorite mountain to climb.
