Our young neighbors started this cafe in July and it is fantastic. You have to stop in and have a beer and the Lockhart plate!

Friendly, relaxing place. Good food, and a variety of adult beverages inside. Live music outside under the stars on weekends. Sit at a picnic table, or bring your chair and listen to some local musicians.

Martindale River Cafe and Mercantile is highly recommended and the heart of the community! Come see what all the hype is about at this magical spot in the historic downtown of Martindale. Enjoy incredible Live music on the banks of the San Marcos river under the stars every Friday and Saturday night. The food is fresh and delicious. They also have a really nice selection of beer and wine.

Looking for a local place with that definite small town feel? Located in downtown Martindale , MRC is the way to go! Live music every evening with delicious sandwiches or brisket burgers, beer, wine, and their famous southern tea with a peach twist. This is our go to for a low-key lunch or evening bite!
