Nestled at the base of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in southern Colorado is a simple and elegant adobe-style solar home that is sure to calm your mind and warm your heart. The house sits on 3-1/2 acres of pinon and juniper trees and offers stunning valley and mountain views - all surrounded by deep sense of quiet. Due to the absence of city lights and the high elevation of Crestone, the stars are exceptionally bright in the night sky. The house features a full kitchen and two separate bedrooms

Secluded Stone Cabin w/ Wood-Fired Hot Tub

Peaceful retreat to unplug and unwind. This off‑the‑grid experience has no electricity or flushing toilets, we do provide the essentials: running hot water, an outhouse, and propane lighting. Stay includes access to a handcrafted, wood‑fired hot. (Tub is still under construction. Landscaping and some final details are not finished.) Four-wheel-drive, or high-profile two-wheel drive vehicles are needed to get to the cabin. We must greet guests at arrival to show you how to use the propane lights.

Wee Nook- a Hobbit Hole

Wee Nook is a 360 square foot living space with a full kitchen and bathroom. It is tucked underground in the middle of the woods. Please come enjoy the woods, farm animals, trails, pond and wide open space while you're here! As JRR Tolkien said: “In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hold, and that means comfort.”

Quiet Shelters Adobe dwelling is set on 2.4 acres within the desert landscape. This intimate one-bedroom, one-bath space is thoughtfully made with natural materials and Southwest inspiration. The stay invites a slower rhythm and deeper presence, offering a grounded way of traveling. With views of red rock cliffs, daily noise falls away, making room for rest, reflection, and connection to the land and each other. Best suited for guests who value design, intention, and attentive hospitality.

The hobbit house is stunning and unique. It's a hobbit house built into the hill, crafted by hand from materials all on the land. Though it's small, it feels spacious. The front pillars look like Stonehenge, hence the name HobbitHenge. It's nestled into a meadow in wild nature with an astonishing view, yet it's only 20 minutes from Asheville.
