Access to the local beach is 2.5kms up the road.

It has an abundance of walking and cycling trails, a country Golf Club, Bowling club and A2O Cycle trail. A fully stocked On the Spot shop, park for the kids & tennis court is at walking distance from the apartment.

Views of Mt Totara. Over the golf course is Lake Aviemore, popular for boating, with many walks nearby. Hot dry summers, crisp sunny autumn & spring, cold snowy winters. Otematata's population is 200, swelling to 5000 in summer. It is on the road between Oamaru & Omarama.

Unit A5, Waitaki Lakes Apartments is a one bedroom fully serviced apartment in idyllic surroundings on the edge of the Otematata Golf Course with the Alps2Ocean cycle trail, walking trails and wetland areas nearby. The apartment has been refurbished with a new kitchenette & bathroom, double glazing and interior upgrade. Please note that I am not on site but please message anytime if you have any queries or need anything. This is our holiday home so please be mindful of this.
