We care a lot about safety. To help protect Hosts and guests, we’ve partnered with the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA) to determine which types of outdoor activities are allowed on Airbnb.

These may be fun, but they’re not currently allowed on Airbnb:

• Base jumping
• Big wave surfing
• Bungee jumping
• Cliff camping
• Cliff jumping
• Free climbing
• Free diving
• Cliff jumping
• Heli skiing
• Highlining
• Ice climbing
• Skydiving
• Sky swinging
• Stunt jumping
• Wind or Wingsuiting
• Bobsled, Luge, or Skeleton
• Canyoneering or canyoning
• Coasteering
• Kiteboarding
• Kitesurfing
• Rappelling or Abseiling
• Shark cage diving
• Ski Jumping

With the exception of demonstrating one of these activities while Hosting an Online Experience, new submissions that include the above activities at any point will not be allowed on the platform.

Verified licenses and/or documentation through a 3rd party partner, Evident, may be required for activities that are permitted. Examples of activities which require additional verification include diving, rafting, and snowmobiling, etc. Learn more about activities with special requirements or restrictions.
