The classic retro feels of the Lucite dinette by Charles Hollis Jones, and similar crystal-clear accents like the 3-tiered Lucite bookshelf leave room for all the sass and cheekiness found in 209. The queen bedroom is just the right amount of frou-frou, with vintage Universal Art Co. “Cherie” ballet wall art, a sleek black lacquer mirror, and an updated bathroom featuring our collection of Studio Miller chalkware fish decorating the walls.

Matthews built the Hotel St. Lucie, Woodmen Hall in 1914, Stuart’s first bank, the Schroeder riverfront home, Kimberly Apartments in 1913, and many more of Stuart’s best. Stuart was incorporated on May 7, 1914 and Sam Matthews was selected one of Stuart’s first aldermen.This ‘key west style’ grand house has been a first class ‘bed and breakfast’ of late. Lindy Room - Room 105

Frederick Weinberg’s “Swing Time” lighted wall sculpture is the Lindy Room’s most notable décor, but it doesn’t stop there. The living area features tall cane-back chairs, a deep and comfortable daybed upholstered with vintage airplane fabric from long-gone National Airlines, and a gorgeous bubble crystal ball sits atop the blue waterfall coffee table for a retro-futuristic feel. The bedroom keeps things beachy with a king-sized bed in white and blue coral motifs.
