We loved our stay here, easily one of the best Airbnb experiences we’ve had! The hosts are very friendly, accomodating and were responsive to all our queries. The apartment is great - very clean, has hot water, a well stocked kitchen and drinking water is provided. There’s also a roof top deck with incredible views of the ocean and jungle. The Caribbean Sea is right on your door step with the house being beach front - it doesn’t get more ideal than this! We booked for 1 week and ended up staying for 3 weeks. The place is quite remote, which is great as it means there is hardly anyone else around. We recommend renting a vehicle to get here, as it’s half an hour drive from Mahahual, where the nearest food stores and grocers are. All in all an excellent stay, cannot recommend enough!!!

Once in a while, we've been lucky enough to have a truly magical vacation. Our stay at John's was one of those times. From the moment we got there, we felt welcomed, comfortable and in awe of the surroundings. First the hosts - John and Robert are consummate hosts - welcoming, interesting, fun and helpful but very respectful of privacy and preferences. They are a big part of what makes this place so special - we enjoyed several evenings with them, and felt like we had made new friends. The house itself is exactly as pictured, only in person it's so idyllic you sort of can't believe how you lucked out. The beach was beautiful and warm, we snorkeled a little ways down, and enjoyed the steady breeze to keep things cooled off. Inside, we had everything we needed to cook for ourselves, and although it's off grid, everything was totally adequate. We extended our visit to a total of ten days, and honestly - we'll probably go back. Thank you for such an amazing time.

First of all: John and Robert were the greatest and most respectful people you could imagine. They made our stay truly amazing and sad, that we haven’t had planned a longer stay! Thanks to their great description it was easy to find. John welcomed us right away, showed us around and explained us everything. The house is run by solar power and with rain water hence it is very environmentally efficient. The room was pleasant and we had everything to cook and enjoy our stay. They let us up the roof top terrace to enjoy the beautiful sunsets. The beach at John’s and Robert’s place is just beautiful and they showed us where we could find great snorkeling spots and ruins to visit. Robert and John made sure our stay was great. We had plenty of nice evening conversations and drinks with them. You can roam the beach for hours without seeing many or people at all. This place is so calm and remote, it is perfect for disconnecting from the fast paced environment! Thanks again for everything

John’s suite was an oasis in a tropical paradise. Indoors or out, we were charmed. The kitchen was extremely well stocked, and the linens were fresh and clean. We went for a secluded vacation and got what we needed but our hosts were so welcoming and friendly, we felt we among friends. The jungle region afforded us amazing and unexpected sightings of a Box Turtle, Yucatán Foxes, Frigate Birds and even a wild jungle cat! We would love to return for a stay here.

It's a gorgeous house in the middle of nowhere right on the beach and surrounded by coconut plantation. If you want to experience how is it to live off the grid, this is a place for you! The room is very tastefully decorated with Talavera sink and water jar, it had everything we needed for cooking, and it even had sharp knifes, which is a big rarity on Airbnb! The bed was comfortable, but shower was never hot enough for me and the water pressure was almost not non existent. The house is surrounded by the jungles, so mosquitos are everywhere. The first night we got there, I spent literally 2 hours jumping all over the room in a mosquitos keeling spree. After that and filling all the gaps between window screens and window frames I could have a relatively good sleep. In addition, right before our arrival something happened to the solar panels, so we had a power only on the sunny days, at night and on a cloudy days it was no power, so no internet, fridge, light. You need to understand also that the closest stores and restaurants are about 40 min drive away. It's not for everybody, but I enjoyed my swims in the ocean and coral reef snorkels, best stargazing at night, long walks on the beech, cutting and opening my own coconut from the palm tree, beautiful sunrises and sunsets... it was magical! I also want to thank John and Robert for inviting us and other couple to join them on a Christmas Eve, w had a wonderful time getting to know each other and learning The Mexican train game! I also forgot some stuff at John's house and he was so nice offering to send it to me! I really appreciate precipitate it and my time spent in your house was very special for me! Thank you!
