Janette and Herb's property is in a lovely peaceful location with panoramic sea views of emu bay. We saw Kangaroos, Koalas and Echidnas close by and dolphins and pelicans from the veranda. The modern house was very clean and extremely well equipped. The hosts have even provided thermos and picnic plates etc., which we used on our numerous day trips exploring the island. It is the ideal property for families or couples to share. The hosts are friendly and provide some very helpful local information about the KI attractions and places to visit. We would definitely recommend this property and happily stay there again.

We had 4 adults and 4 children stay at Janette and Herb’s place. It was absolutely perfect for us. Had everything we could need for 2 families. Kitchen is very well supplied, which you really need in KI being so remote. Little things that you might need are all provided, even some bath toys! Janette and Herb are very knowledgeable about the island, great communicators before the stay, and very friendly. In the morning we would see Kangaroos while we at breakfast, and we caught some squid off the local jetty. Emu Bay is a great location on KI, central to a lot of the attractions. We visited Stokes Bay, Seal Bay, Little Sahara and Kingscote with ease. Emu bay itself is so pretty, and the little food truck on the beach next to a play ground had fantastic food and drinks (not open everyday and closes at 6:30pm). We would love to go back again!
