Superb! 10/10. This is a model for what a good AirBnb property should be like, with immaculate furnishings, tasteful decoration and premium modern appliances, alongside bags of authentic character and picture-postcard views. We could tell that the owners have worked really hard to present a high-quality property yet retain its homely feel. There's much more space that we expected too, with many private spaces for memers of the family to relax We stayed in mid-Winter yet the old cottage was delightfully warm and cosy. We loved the walks to nearby pubs and shops, but also enjoyed staying in reading books or watching movies on the Smart tv with its awesome sound bar. Parking was straightforward in nearby car parks (download the payment app) and free spaces in winter but might be more of a challenge come the peak summer season I imagine.

A fabulous cornish cottage in a superb location. The cottage was immaculate, homely and well maintained. Louise and Paulas instructions and helpful guides were spot on and super helpful. They thought of everything to ensure our stay was carefree. The views from the cottage were fantastic. Being able to wake up, pull back the curtains and see Newlyn Harbour, Penzance and of course St Michaels Mount was the icing on the cake! Thankyou for a wonderful stay!

This house is an absolute treasure with an amazing view over the Harbour of Newlyn, but I don’t want to write too much, otherwise it will be always booked!!! We definitely will come back! Thank you Louise ❤️

We loved our weekend stay at Sykes House. Louise was a fantastic host, sending clear, detailed information prior to the trip. This was really helpful, especially in regard to nearby parking. There was the lovely touch of milk in the fridge and biscuits upon arrival. The house was super clean and had everything you need. The views of Newlyn Harbour are beautiful. Really informative welcome pack & we particularly enjoyed reading about its association with the Newlyn artist & author Dorcie Sykes. Easy walking distance to town for lovely restaurants & The Newlyn Picture House. A wonderful half term getaway.

Charming cottage beautifully presented and immaculately clean. Wonderful views of the harbour and Mounts Bay. Louise and Paula were extremely helpful and responsive. We love this location. We already know it well. It is up a steep hill (not a criticism, it’s a feature of the location) just something that anybody with mobility issues should take into account. Fabulous place to stay.
