We absolutely loved Strathcarron station. Rupert and Lin were great with communicating before we arrived. The property was beautiful inside and out. Spotlessly clean and with loads of bits and pieces that came in handy when travelling light. Bed was comfy and the property was warm and cosy. Excellent instructions for everything in the house, best manual I’ve ever seen. We loved watching the trains even though they were few and far between. Area was great for walking. Make sure you bring all your shopping if you can. We were there on a Sunday and in nearby Lochcarron most things were closed. We had one visit to the nearby pub where it was very friendly. We absolutely loved our weekend and would definitely recommend.

A truly wonderful stay with lots of special care given to making guests feel welcome. The ticket office apartment is a unique stay, beautifully appointed, cozy and comfortable. Rupert was very responsive and let us know about a special stream engine train scheduled to come through the station. That was an unexpected highlight! This is one of the most delightful places I've stayed in and I highly recommend it!

We loved our stay. The property is beautiful inside and was spotlessly clean. Some original features have been retained such as levers & ticket hatch giving a nod to it's history. It's a charming property in a stunning location with views over the surrounding countryside. The owners have put a lot of thought into this cottage inside & out. It's really well equipped for a very comfortable stay, the kitchen has everything you'd need to cook a meal at home or there are a number of places to eat out locally. We highly recommend this property and it will definitely be our 1st choice of place to stay when we return to the area.
