Restful, peaceful, comfortable, relaxing, rejuvenating…. A much needed get away. I honestly think the pictures don’t do the place justice! A quiet get away…I love that the main focal point in the living room isn’t a television, but a kiva (fireplace). This is a perfect place to unplug and reset. A soaking tub, comfortable furniture, fully stocked kitchen… we had everything we needed and more. We loved watching all the birds (jays, juncos, flickers, chickadees and more!). We also loved being close to *good* hiking! We definitely want to come again!! Highly recommend!!

My stay at Karen's Casita has been wonderful! The surroundings are breath-taking and the night skies are unlike anything I have seen before. The Casita is perfect for long stays and has all the amenities one would need. Karen has been very helpful and kind during my stay; especially as I get used to rural NM (having come from an urban area). Karen and Adam were so kind to rescue me one rainy day from the muddy road into the Casita. While I could have driven in myself, I got quite nervous with the drive and they went above and beyond to drive my car and give me a ride. Thank you so much for the rescue! =p If looking for a stay in Mountainair, NM, look no further than Karen's Casita!

Our stay at Karen's Casita was everything expected. Beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing. Karen is quick to respond to any questions or concerns. It is a bit "off the beaten path" but so worth the trip! Casita had everything we needed for a comfortable, well-equipped stay. Highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! So peaceful and the remote setting offers so many views … mountains, sunsets, star gazing! Very clean and well stocked. Karen is definitely a Superhost! Don’t hesitate to book!

Beautiful and peaceful, just as advertised. The setting is quite remote, in the hills of juniper and cedar, perfect place for a private, quiet getaway. Karen is a very thoughtful host, and everything you need for your stay is set up in the casita.
