We stayed last year and have already booked for the next two years. The cottage is very comfortable with a magnificent view of the lake. Jim & Ulrike are wonderful hosts.

Had an amazing stay in Mayville! The cottage location was perfect; right on the lake and also close to lots of things to see and do. The cottage was very organized with everything labeled so it was easy to find everything. Highly recommend!

We had a great time at the Woodfisher cottage. It was plenty large enough for our family of four and a decently large dog. We loved the view of the lake and the fully functional kitchen and laundry area. A big perk was having the Chautauqua Marina only a two minute walk from our place to launch our boat and park our trailer. The dock was very stable for our 18.5ft walleye/bass boat, and the kids and I did lot of fishing from it. Perch and pumpkinseeds primarily and a few bass. Most of our boat fishing was within a 1/4 mile of the dock with a great flat and variable break nearby. Lots of musky fishing right there. It was immaculately clean upon arrival, and there were thoughtful touches everywhere. Amenities were comprehensive. Everything was labeled for ease of locating. Anytime we thought, “Oh, we need ___,” it had already been provided and placed in the first place you would look for it. Would not hesitate to recommend a stay there, especially for a family.

We loved our stay at this little lake house! The view is unbeatable - I just sat and watched the lake most of the time we were there, we never even turned the tv on! The heron visited us several times and the sunrises were so gorgeous! There's some quirks to this charming little home! The yard was lovely and private for us and our dogs - though no one was staying in the red house that shares the yard, so that probably made it more private. My only wish was that it was easier for our big dog to get down to the lake to swim! She's too large to lift so we couldn't use the dock for it. We would definitely stay at Jim & Ulrike's place again!

the cabin was amazing again this year. we loved the new furniture, and the new walk In shower was amazing. we actually got to meet the host this year which was nice. we love our stay here and their attention to little details, and including everything we would need is so nice. can't wait to return next year.
