We really enjoyed our stay at Georgiana's place south of Hexam. She and Ralph are the best host and hostess of any place we've ever stayed. The cottage is comfortably situated in a rural setting about 15 minutes drive south of Hexam. Very picturesque. We felt very welcomed at right at home. The cottage has been completely redone by them to an extremely high standard. We saw lots of wildlife while driving to see Hadrian's wall on a tour with Peter Carney. We'll hope to come back soon!

We were 5 adults staying for a family wedding at nearby Healey Barn. The cottage fitted the bill and more. The setting was pretty special and we loved sitting outside in the garden reading and watching all the wildlife. A very quiet property. The kitchen was very well equipped to cook meals. The beds were comfortable and the linen, towels and throws all felt luxurious. The lounge had a wonderful wood burner with plentiful logs. We would not hesitate to recommend.

Georgina and Ralph's cottage is wonderful: a special place in a stunning part of the world. Our family of five (kids aged between 9 and 14) enjoyed a really relaxing week's holiday here. The cottage is immaculately clean, and beautifully furnished and cared for. The beds are comfortable with proper cotton sheets. There's a big comfy sofa and properly equipped kitchen. The location is great too. Though you really need a car to get around, it is ten minutes' drive from Hexham and Corbridge - both very interesting - and just over 20 mins' drive to many of the most fascinating Hadrian's Wall sights. Some great pubs nearby. The dramatic Northumberland National Park and coastline 45 mins away. The weather was mixed when we stayed in early April. But that didn't matter. We had a brilliant time and would love to come back. Oh: and Georgina and Ralph are both very friendly and nice too!

We had a wonderful stay in Georgina's cottage. The cottage and its surroundings are beautiful and so peaceful. We had a warm welcome from Georgina and had everything we needed and more. The interior decor and furnishings are beautiful and the cottage itself is lovely and warm. It was perfect for a family break, we didn't want to leave!

A Very well equipped house which suited our needs over Easter. We had a wedding down the road and family to see. It was great value for money and we would definitely come again.
