We have stayed all over Scotland for my work, and this is the quietest, most peaceful, place we have ever stayed at. The Bothy itself was clean and very well presented. Heating is easy to use, ample WiFi if you need it and loads of power points to keep all of your gadgets charged up. There are a couple of unfair comments on other reviews. Firstly, it's a Bothy. If you don't know what that is then look it up. It is, by nature, small but there is plenty of room for two and a small dog. Secondly, the shower. It is not a power shower, but doesn't claim to be. You turn it on and get showered with warm water so you can wash. Perfect for the job. If there are any problems, Len is easy to contact and responds very quickly. The garden is beautiful, but we also found the walk down the lane and around the village was as enjoyable. I cannot recommend this accommodation highly enough. Thank you Len.

We enjoyed our stay at the bothy, and were very comfortable. Although it is small, we had everything we needed for a short stay. We enjoyed visiting the lovely village cafe, and appreciated being close to the station, and able to get trains into Edinburgh, or to other border towns. If we had had more time, we would have done more walking in the area too. We hope to be back for another visit.

It’s I. A quiet location and was just what we needed for the two nights. The bathroom shower isn’t the best as the water pressure is poor and it could do with a spruce up too. The bedroom I feel could be better arranged and may then be able to fit in a couple of chairs to rlax in rather than the little table and two chairs which are there at present.

A wonderful stay in a beautiful village with a great cafe and bookshop within 5 mins walking. Direct train to Edinburgh - station within 10 mins walk. The Bothy is small but comfortable and meets all your needs. Hot shower and adjustable heating. Very clean. Highly recommend 😊
