The Stables is located in a rural position on a quiet lane on the side of the hill and conveniently off the A38 just outside the lovely village of South Brent. It is a short distance from both Dartmoor and all the superb beaches of the South Hams. It is also halfway between Exeter and Plymouth and ideal as a stop on the way to Cornwall. The views from the grounds of the property overlooking Dartmoor are exceptional. The Eco House is quirky with all mod cons. A light , airy EcoHouse with large comfortable 2 bedrooms . Spacious sitting room, bathroom with generous pressure shower , huge bath. kitchen with breakfast bar, microwave and dishwasher. Parking right outside. Fresh clean bedding and soft towels, ground coffee , tea and milk are provided. . Victorian style Log burner with plentiful waste wood and logs also provided. Electric heating, wifi. Tv and records .Outside dining. I provide freshly ground coffee tea and sugar and complimentary milk in the fridge. Outside and apart from the views already mentioned is an outdoor dining area and barbecue space. I can provide a barbeque and charcoal for £ 10 ,or bring your own disposable one Infants are welcome, as are well behaved dogs. What a great last minute get away. Total gem and just what we were looking for. It was quiet, comfy and had all the home comforts. Located near great beaches. Richard was really kind. And the pooch Dotty was a big hit, particularly with our dog. Would definitely recommend and revisit! Thanks for having us!
The cabin is so lovely and cosy! The rooms are spacious and clean. We loved using the log burner and with the electric heaters the place was really warm. Richard was really welcoming and helpful, he suggested Mothecombe beach which was so pretty and there's a lovely coastal walk from it. The road noise is constant but you can't hear it when you're inside. Great location between Dartmoor and the coast, lots of great options with the cabin as your base. Thanks so much Richard!
Great home. Hard to find though and although a great place to stay not the best value. Wood burner and jacuzzi helped to still win me over.

Lovely cabin with a view of Dartmoor. Very cosy and snug; all of the cabin was reclaimed so it felt great to be staying somewhere that saved so much landfill! There's a record player in the cabin which was a nice touch and a spa bath which the kids very much enjoyed! Great for access to Buckfastleigh, Totnes, etc. Access is via a country road with steep inclines where low-slung cars might struggle.

We are easily accesed from the A 38 and situated midway between Exeter and Plymouth. 1 mile nearby is the charming moorland village of South Brent with all the facilities you would expect from a working village . Dartmoor is just acros the valley and good views of it are available from the fields at the property.
The fantastic beaches of south Devon are a short drive away as are the interesting towns of Totnes and Dartmouth.
The main line railway station is at Totnes , only 5 miles away. Dartmoor is only 10 minutes drive away. the beaches are 15 minutes drive.

Easy going country lover. I love exploring Dartmoor and enjoy lazy days on our fabulous beaches and generally being outdoors. The area around here has everything you might need for a break away or longer holiday stay. I have carefully created and constructed my accommodation to offer a relaxing stay for all my guests. The accommodation is warm and snug in the winter and bright and airy in the summer. I have an extensive knowledge of the area and will happily give you any advice.
