If you’re thinking of visiting the sunset rouge, DO IT! It’s 100% worth it and the pictures and description don’t do this place justice. I’ve traveled all over the world and this is the best AirBnB I’ve ever stayed at. So many amazing features and great care in the creation of their space. The views are to die for alone but you’re matched up with excellent hosts who make your stay easy and welcoming. We already plan on making this an annual trip. We can’t thank Chris and Kerri enough for making our stay amazing.

The Sunset rouge is one of the best getaways my wife and I ever been to, the place really exceeded all our expectations. The view was breathtaking, you can never get enough of it. Also the rooms were well decorated, we loved the attention to detail that was given to every room. Pictures do not do the place justice.

Great stay! Good for a romantic getaway. Didn't see or hear from the hosts during the stay (which was a good thing for a couples weekend getaway), aside from hearing some faint noise from them walking on one of the days. Place is as described with clear instructions. Would stay again.

Cannot say enough about our recent 2 night stay. Sunset Rouge was EXACTLY what we needed for our first night away in a few years. The whole space seems designed for relaxation. God took care of the outside, and the hosts took care of everything else. We were blown away with how thoughtfully designed the space was. NO detail was overlooked. Most rentals we have stayed in were designed with furniture the owner obviously didn’t care whether it was damaged or not, but this space was impeccably designed. So much so that we changed our plans and stayed in one afternoon just to relax. We typically stay pretty busy on vacations, but after seeing the space, we decided we’d stay in and rest after breakfast the next morning. My wife read and I napped on the great couch! And the hot tub! After a strenuous hike the day of check-in, the hot tub was exactly what the doctor ordered. The outdoor views are impeccable, and the inside is a haven of relaxation. Truly nothing to improve on!

We stayed at the Sunset Rouge for a long weekend and it was such a fabulous experience! Kerri & Chris thought of everything to make us feel at home, even having some popcorn in the kitchen for us to enjoy while watching a movie the night of our arrival! We loved the restaurant & winery recommendations in the “Welcome guide” (provided by Kerri & Chris) and we enjoyed every single place mentioned in the guide! The Sunset Rouge’s gorgeous location high atop the Shenandoah River was simply breathtaking! Sunsets were stunning and watching the eagles fly overhead was thrilling! We played pool, enjoyed the hot tub, listened to some vinyl records, and spent time in the swivel comfy chairs talking, reading, and looking out at the incredible view!! We can’t wait to go back to visit!!
