As a remote area with off-track roads, it's essential to be well-prepared, especially during the rainy season (August-November). We highly recommend a 4x4 vehicle to navigate the terrain comfortably and safely.

To reach Cabo Matapalo, start from the town of Puerto Jimenez. You can use any navigation app, but we recommend using Waze for the best directions. From Puerto Jimenez, it will take approximately 45-60 minutes to reach Cabo Matapalo on an off-track gravel road. Along the way, you'll pass several bridges, with the last two were recently built.
Once you cross the last bridge, continue for about 200 meters until you reach a bus booth. After passing the booth, you'll encounter the official entrance to Cabo Matapalo; make a left turn here. A few meters ahead, you'll see an entrance with two large columns on your right. This marks the official entrance of the charming town of Cabo Matapalo, take that path.
Follow the internal road for at least 1km. As you drive, you'll pass by "Encanta la Vida," a local restaurant and bar. A few meters further, you'll come across "Surfside Bungalows." After passing them, you'll find our entrance on the right side with the sign "Lapalandia."
Please be aware that the remote location may cause limited phone signal during your travel. We highly recommend arriving as early as possible within the check-in time.
