The home is lovely and is in a beautiful setting. The house itself is beautifully decorated and well appointed. You’re just a stone’s throw away from downtown San Rafael and a comfortable commute into SF for business or recreation. The environment is a bit like being in a tree house, with incredible views both day and night. More timid drivers may not enjoy the ascent up to the home, because it is a narrow and winding road, and the driveway is a little challenging. Certainly nothing insurmountable. By the second time I did it, I felt comfortable and confident. My only word of caution would be that the house is surrounded by a lot of eucalyptus trees, and their oils tend to get on everything outside. If you touch your car’s door handle, as an example, you should wash your hands before touching your face, as the oils from the eucalyptus can burn your skin and eyes a bit. It’s not prohibitive…I would definitely stay there again…but it’s good to be prepared in advance.

Our stay at Sequoia was amazing! Everything is exactly as described in the listing. A few bonuses that I don’t remember reading in the listing: tons of outdoor seating, TVs in almost every room, plenty of towels and a nice washer/dryer setup, super well-stocked kitchen! 10/10 would stay again.

What a beautiful hilltop oasis in Marin! When the fog and mist break up, the views are stunning! Inside, the place is incredibly comfortable, with a well-stocked kitchen and bathrooms, new outdoor grill and spacious deck, there is nothing more one could ask for at Scenic Sequoia. The home very well-built and timelessly designed. Kathleen is on top of everything and very responsive too. Exceeded expectations. Nail this one down before someone else gets it.

This is our second stay in this wonderful house and this visit was even more impressive than our first! Not only is the house big and perfectly situated, but it is also so clean and well furnished. Everything worked; didn’t need to worry about running out of anything; Kathleen is an expert host and you feel like you’re in good hands when you are a guest in this beautiful home.
