Slate Cottage was lovely to stay in and very convenient for Keswick town centre, yet quiet, great instructions and recommendations in the information file in the cottage.

A cosy cottage which was is as described. Somethings are looking a little tired in places which I’ve advised the owner/ management company. The cottage is in a great location and offers reasonable value for keswick when you consider what it offers.

This is a very cosy cottage for a family stay in Keswick. Much bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside! A well stocked kitchen with everything you could need. Comfy beds and comfy sofas. A 5 minute walk into the town centre. The owners do need to sort out the damp in the large front bedroom - this did no favours for my asthma. Bidet was also not working.

The cottage is apparently 300 years old so it’s bound to be a little “quirky” which was acceptable, however the place was not cheap but the place felt like that. The double bedroom at the front of the property had a lot of damp issues and the twin room just didn’t feel right. It was impossible to work out the storage heaters so the majority of time we had no heating which caused further issues as the weather was quite wet and we had a lot of wet items that wouldn’t dry out. Not really what we expected, quite disappointed really.

5 minute walk to Keswick main street.
