Barking Mad 2 gave our family and friends a delightful saunter down the Thames to Runnymede and back. Stephen was always discreetly in contact and was willing to offer advice and help when needed, as too were most lock keepers and their volunteers. The boat was manageable for two beginners and the accommodation was well appointed and stocked. Arrival and departure were well managed although the lane to the boat needed some finding. If you are looking for a carefree adventure with sublime scenery, plenty of wildlife, safe swims and a galaxy of pubs, then look no further. We certainly intend to return! It is well worth taking a Thames guide with you as there are plenty of quirky places of interest along the way.

We had an exciting adventure on the river. The long boat is in great shape and we enjoyed our days of quiet on the Thames. Stephen is a great coach for an exciting adventure!!

What a great experience! We hired Barking Mad II for a long weekend. Stephen was excellent with booking process , communication and all around support. Narrow boat was in excellent condition with everything you need for comfortable and happy stay. We had very informative and detail welcome. We were given great recommendations where to go and what to see. We had amazing 4 days. We would defiantly recommend to hire and enjoy it.
