The house is great and the rooms as noted in the listing. It is worth noting that the kitchen is very light on pots/pans and there is not a single oven mit. There is only a small frying pan and a cookie sheet that is horribly dirty (bring something to cover it) plus three other pots. The listing also mentions a hairdryer, which was nowhere to be found. Instructions in the book do not match host instruction for garbage/recycling. Booking the house was easy and since we were expecting 6, host reached out for incremental payment, paid in July for an Oct stay. I then received a note saying that the key would be held up if we didn’t pay the extra fee. This should have been sorted with AirBnB before accusing me of insufficient payment. After providing proof of payment, response took several days - not getting a link for the lock app until the night before checkin. Only 1 person has the key. This is inconvenient for a house that sleeps 6+. Reco: Communicate early and often

Scott was very accommodating and his home looked just like the pictures! It was very close to downtown Montauk and a short Uber drive from anything else. I would definitely stay in Scott's place again. Very comfortable!

The home was as advertised the communication was not. I cannot recommend this property. I understand the need for exterior cameras for the safety and security of guests. The surveillance felt invasive. Shortly after arrival, I received an abrasive text message demanding money for “additional guests.” I forwarded prior communications that confirmed the number of guests (8 adults, 1 infant), to which an apology was received for oversight. The next day, a claim was filed against me. Allegations of a party. Absurd since my 11 month old was asleep by 7pm. Then an abrupt communication halt until checkout. Money was requested again. In exchange, Airbnb would be informed that we handled it. I’d say it’s not worth the headache. I grew up visiting Montauk. My family used to own a home there. I am respected and known in the community. I’ve never had or heard of an experience like this one. Unfortunately, the memories created during this particular stay are not worth holding on to.

Fantastic home in Montauk!! Clean, airy and bright. Easy walk to the beaches. Short drive (or longer walk) into the town. Bedrooms are good size and the additional office space was useful. A bathroom on each floor worked well. Deck and outside furniture is superb Owner communicated well and checked in with us to make sure we were happy once we were there. Would love to go back
