Brackenhill Lodge is a pretty timber self catering retreat, a little hide away from the hustle & bustle of everyday life situated in Sheringwood, a small hamlet above the North Norfolk coastal town of Sheringham. The lodge is set within 4 acres of land with many walks around the lodge with the coast easily is accessible. Sheringham is approximately twenty minutes walking distance from the private gate. The hosts little house is just in front of the lodge. There is a separate path and entrance. There are two cosy bedrooms, one double and a twin with comfy beds & duvets and extra pillows & bedding. The open plan living area has a fully appointed kitchen with dining for four and a lounge area with comfortable seating for relaxing. The lodge has its own private garden area with outdoor table and chairs. There is tea, coffee and fresh milk on your arrival, so you can make a pot of tea, put your feet up and unwind after your journey.

We stayed here beginning of May 24 the first week of great weather we had, had this year. The cabin was well appointed with every thing you could need and the welcome pack was great, the shower exceeded expectations. The glimpses of the the monk jack deer outside our windows a delight as was all the other visiting wild life. For us with a dog the walk through the wood in the morning settled our dog before going into town and the walk to West Runton then back along the coastal path was well worth the time. Sheringham was excellent as there were a number of pubs and restaurants to chose from and the steam train to the village of Holt fun. For us the cabin was in exactly the right area as our dog has a tendency to want to chase cars. We would thank Sarah for a great time at Bracken Wood Lodge and will be coming back soon.
We had such a lovely stay! The house is in a beautiful area and the surroundings feel very peaceful. We loved the nearby walks in the woods and walking into Sheringham, but the drive in is very quick if you don’t fancy the walk! The house is well equipped with everything you would need and was spotless. Sarah left us a lovely hamper with lots of local produce which was such a lovely touch. Really recommend the place.
We stayed for our first time in Norfolk and will definitely be back! The cabin was lovely and homely and the surroundings were beautiful with deer right outside the window! A great base for exploring the Norfolk coast.
Lovely spacious cabin in a beautiful peaceful place. Forest walks from the doorstep. Deer, rabbits and birds in the garden. Cabin was very clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Sarah was very friendly and a big thank you for the hamper provided. We had a lovely stay.
Have just returned from a long weekend at Sarah’s lovely lodge. Everything was as described and the place was spotless, cosy and warm when we arrived very late at night. We were also guided in with a torch as it is very dark at night - which we very much appreciated! The surroundings are beautiful & peaceful and the walk to the coast through trees and across the common was wonderful. We would definitely recommend it if you’re visiting North Norfolk.

You can explore the woods on foot or cycle. There are lots of countryside walks nearby, and coastal walks from Sheringham to Weybourne, Morston and beyond. There is coastal bus as well as train which has a direct connection to the Norfolk broads and Norwich.
