This beautiful, warm home is bursting with energy and love, and was nothing short of perfect for our family of 6, plus our pup, for our month long stay. We’ve traveled to Boulder the past 7 years for work/pleasure, and have had the luxury of renting in nearly every unique setting that Boulder offers — downtown, the base of Lefthand Canyon, up in the foothills, south Boulder...and let me wholeheartedly tell you, NOTHING compares to this perfect location. The neighborhood is quiet, and feels like you’re secluded and in the country, but it is unbelievably close with very easy access to all that Boulder has to offer. The neighborhood community also has phenomenal shared open space. We have four small children (ranging in age from 2-9) and we loved riding our bikes on the trails to the Boulder Reservoir, Eagle Trailhead, and Valmont Bike Park. (We traveled with our bikes, scooters, skis, etc so we didn’t take advantage of this perk, but the gracious hosts also left a variety of bikes, helmets, scooters, outdoor toys, etc in the garage for renters to use!) Speaking of children, if you’re traveling with any, THIS IS THE BEST RENTAL YOU WILL EVER FIND (in Boulder and maybe anywhere!). There is a craft/school room that was perfect for our elementary-age remote learners, and our toddler for crafting and Play Doh. There is a toy room upstairs equipped with awesome books, instruments, a mini trampoline, and open-ended toys that appeal to all ages (marble runs, magnatiles, etc). We had so much fun playing board games (there is a cupboard full of fun games!), cozying up by the toasty fire with a blanket and a good book, whipping up a yummy meal in the kitchen that’s fit for a professional chef, or just snuggling on the couch and watching a movie with the kids (we appreciated having access to the host family’s huge movie library on the smart TV in addition to Netflix, PBS kids etc). Our kids also LOVED jumping on the big trampoline outside and swinging on the multiple swings around the property! The home is equipped with a Green Egg grill and great outdoor eating/lounging space (our stay was in Jan/Feb so we didn’t eat many meals outside, but in warmer months, I think more meals would be eaten outside in this picturesque setting than inside!) The host family has the most amazing enclosed garden we’ve ever seen, which also acts as a secure dog run. If you are lucky enough to rent this home, I can assure you, you will not be disappointed! It is the BEST!!! Thanks a million to this awesome family for opening their dream home and sharing it with us!
