The ferry terminal is a very pleasant 15 min walk past a few of the historic, landmark homes in the area.
The bus to the ferry terminal is only three short blocks away and takes around 5 mins.
There are also taxis/car services to and from the ferry terminal.
The ferry runs 24/7 every 15 mins during rush hour. On the Manhattan side, the ferry connects to the three major subway lines that head uptown to all attractions on the West Side, the East Side, or the center of the city. Free transfer if you have taken the bus in the last 3 hours. From the ferry terminal in Manhattan, you can walk to Wall Street, the 9/11 memorial, South Street Seaport, and boats to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.
