We had a great stay for 2 nights with Alex on Amazing Grace while we were in St. John. What a wonderful way to see the island, by sea. The Cerulean blue color of the water is heavenly. I slept so well with the gentle rocking of the boat. Alex makes great coffee and delicious scrambled eggs. We went for a sail to Maho Bay and saw the sea turtles which was amazing.
Our experience staying with Alex on his boat was a great way to start our first trip in the islands. The view of St. Johns was awesome and Alex was very friendly and accommodating.
AMAZING location!! Next to one of the most beautiful beaches on St John. Alex let us hire him for an “extra” sail around the island where he made us an amazing lunch. We stopped at 2 amazing snorkeling spots that we would not have seen. He made great coffee and breakfast for us daily. He also took us in his dinghy nightly to drop us at some amazing restaurants for dinner. We saw so many sea turtles and amazing fish right from the boat! Great experience!
Alex was a gracious host. A stay on Amazing Grace II comes with the most amazing coffee and a delicious breakfast. Beautiful views and afternoon sunsets are lovely.

Hobbies Tai-chi, sailing, writing, skiing, traveling, yacht deliveries and good cooking.....not necessarily 'fine dining'. Enjoy a good glass of wine and the occasional Guinness. Have stayed in a wide range of places from luxurious to very plain; I'll take good company, conversation and simple surroundings over cold luxury any day of the week.
