My place was designed with the love and affection that brought me to Jaisalmer. Being a designer and wanting to try something new, I created a minimalist design that is Rajasthani in spirit and style. The place is close to the fort and has great views of the expansive city of home, my Jaisalmer. You will love staying here and using this as the base for your travels through Jaisalmer. So come on in! The Place: This modern house where you will be living during your stay was built more than 30 years ago but I renovated it around 5 years back to keep it abreast with modern amenities. The place boasts of a big rooftop having a view of the Fort & a 360 degree view of the city around & a courtyard which leads you to the room. There is a dining hall for where I can serve you delicious delicacies while you watch the Fort. The place is not only serene but also has an amazing aesthetic feel to it. You can Sit, Relax & Soak in the environment while watching the Sunrise from the rooftop The Room: The bed here is a King-size bed and the mattress is comfortable and great for a rejuvenating sleep. Also, keep in mind that this room is on the 1st floor and it is accessible through a staircase. The Room also has a beautiful view of the Fort which you can see from the Balcony/Jharokha. The room also has a "Bajoot" & a "Jharokha". A stay here will not only rejuvenate you but also enthrall you with the sheer beauty of the city. The area: My place is situated near the Jaisalmer Fort which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is not only one of the largest Fort in the country but it is also the largest living fort in the whole of Asia. A walk of 150 meters from the main square of the Fort reaches you to my place. The Royal Cenotaphs (Called the "Bada Bagh") & the abandoned villages of "Kuldhara" & "Khaba" which are not only a major tourist attractions but also have a big historical importance to Jaislamer are located between 5-15kms of vicinity from here. Also, the train station & the bus stand are a 10 mins driving distance from here.
