Positives - great location adjacent to the fort and walking distance to the lake. beautiful view of the fort can be had from the rooftop. the dining area on the roof top is nicely done up. They dish out great local food if you inform them in advance. Lalith provided us with some guidance on local things to do. The not so great - the property feels more like an old Home remodelled into a Hotel. Other than the "suite room" the rest of the rooms are small and feel claustrophobic. we had booked 3 rooms and Pratimesh kindly changed one of the rooms to the larger suite.

In stayed in his property with my family and really enjoyed the hospitality. His property iPrathimesh ji took care of us like a family and also supported in every aspect of our stay in Jaisalmer. He also helped me in booking desert stay which was amazing. He also gave respect to my parents with all their queries and needs whenever they asked for. He opened his property door like we are his family which includes early check-in considering my situation of reaching early morning at 4 am. He sent the auto-rickshaw for pick us and comfortably allowed us to check-in as my parents are old. Also he kept our luggage after check- out. I'm overwhelmed with his kind gesture. He guided us with restaurants, places to visit, hidden stories of Jaisalmer :-) My brother left his wallet and bag at some restaurant at other side of the city where we went for dinner and pratimesh ji didn't even give a second thought and ride my brother with him on his bike to get his wallet. I'm so thankful to him 🙏

Lala and Pratimesh were the most amazing hosts. Not just the best hosts we had during our travels in India, but probably the best hosts I’ve ever had using this app. They were extremely attentive to all of our needs, adaptable to our late and early hours, always making sure we felt comfortable and at home every step of the way. They recommended fantastic local restaurants, went out of their way to get us get a variety of things we needed that weren’t immediately available in the area, and made fantastic home-cooked meals when we were hungry and delicious chai when we were thirsty. I couldn’t recommend this property more. Clean, comfortable, spacious, well-decorated, convenient, and very affordable - we lived like kings in Jaisalmer thanks to Lala and Pratimesh. Thank you so much for your endless hospitality - we will definitely be coming back!

It's at walkable distance from Jaisalmer fort. It's in a old building so you have to compromise with the design. One room is very good but the other two rooms are very small and lacking proper day light and ventilation.

We had a wonderful stay at Pratimesh's place (Shanti Home). It was a home converted into a hotel, with beautiful Rajasthan-style decor in the rooms. The rooms were comfortable, and the view of the Jaisalmer fort from the terrace was amazing. The location is also great, right near the entrance to the fort. But the best part of the entire experience was the hospitality of Pratimesh and his brother Lalit. They were very responsive and helpful in all aspects. They had hot tea ready for us soon after we arrived. They provided recommendations of places to visit in Jaisalmer, as well as places to eat. Lalit prepared a wonderful hot breakfast for us in the morning, which we ate on the terrace. The food was tasty, and made perfectly non-spicy according to our preference. They also offered to provide dinner (at a cost), but we did not eat there as were were going out in the evening. Overall, their hospitality made this one of our best stays in our entire Rajasthan trip.
