Matthew was very responsive to my questions . The ocean view was beautiful. I’m older and managing our large suitcases down the stairs was not easy since we are staying at other locations for 3 weeks we packed a lot of stuff and left most clothing in the suitcases since there was limited space to take everything out. This is a wonderful spot for a short stay if you have a lot of baggage to deal with you’ll have to live out of the suitcase.There were chairs that could be used on the patio or drought down to their private beach a short distance down from the unit. We enjoyed the sunsets from the porch. A nice surprise was there were some nice local restaurants in Oceanside and more downtown near the pier plus downtown Carlsbad only 2 miles away has lots of restaurants and shopping.

Matthew’s place was a beautiful stay to celebrate my wife’s and I 10 year wedding anniversary. Every night we slept with the door open to sleep to the crashing waves. Every morning we would get up to watch the dolphins. Everything about the stay was amazing! It does not disappoint!

The hosts were so friendly and accommodating. We needed to change our check in time and they were very flexible with that. It was an easy check in with very clear instructions. They also gave us their personal phone number in case we needed anything while we were there. We weren't sure what to expect since this apartment is in the lower level of their home, but the hosts were careful to respect your privacy, yet were very personable and there to talk and help if needed. The ocean is truly 40' away, so we got to hear the relaxing sound of the ocean the whole time! We had a wonderful stay in this charming apartment and will definitely come back!

You know the phrase 10/10 would recommend? Our stay with Matt, in his beautiful oceanfront casita exceeded expectations in every way. We met Matt and showed us to our accommodations. went over the unit and made sure we felt welcome and comfortable. The casita had everything we needed, was well appointed, bottles of water, Kcups for the Kerig, tons of towels and linens and super comfortable bed. You're literally right on the water and views are epic. Offers a very private feel with its own patio and lounge chairs to soak in the view. And there's nothing better than opening the french doors to an endless ocean view! This is a must stay for sure!
