Our sweet little farm house, once a barn is nestled on our family farm in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains. Our comfy cozy home is full of charming character and magical country views out every window. Just across the road is the famous VA Creeper Trail, enjoy nature with a hike or bike ride to our local winery, town, shops & distilleries. End the day by the fire pit making s’mores, maybe try your luck at the Bristol Casino, check out a dispensary or listen to a band on State Street. 3 bedrooms, each with 1 queen size bed, dresser and closet 1 futon 1 full bath Washer and dryer We have a playpen and high chair for our tiny guest, at your request.

Kayla is a wonderful and gracious host! She left snacks, fresh eggs and even something in the freezer for us. The place was very clean with huge rooms. Bathroom is very nice and water pressure was just fine, along with hot water. There were 3 of us for a girls’ trip. We did end up cooking three meals at the house and had everything we needed. She checked in several times and made sure there was nothing we needed. I loved sitting outside in one of the many spaces. It is very quiet and peaceful with very little traffic on the road. Close to Abington and the Barter Theatre. Damascus is a cute little town with a brewery — highly recommend. If you have found this little slice of heaven, rent it. You will not be disappointed! One note for accessibility, the bathroom is downstairs, along with one bedroom. Other two are upstairs — just keep in mind if you have someone with you who has trouble with stairs. We didn’t mind at all. OH, and lots of play toys for kids! Nice touch.
The view was beautiful, the house was cute and cozy. The only thing that was negative was the water pressure in the shower, other than that it was nice.
Charming farmhouse with everything you need for a comfortable stay! Close to Abingdon and Damascus.
I absolutely loved my stay at Kayla's farm house. it was peaceful and right on the creeper trail. We enjoyed Damascus's shops and restaurants. highly recommend

Alvarado is a rural farming community where everyone knows everyone and we take care of each other.
Because we are right smack dab in the middle of the Appalachian Mtns, you never know when you might get a glimpse of our wild critters. Deer, bear, bob cats, opossum, skunks, squirrels and coyotes are just a few of our fur friends we have roam the farm from time to time. Remember they are wild and dangerous, do not feed or approach these animals.
There are several shops in town, you can rent peddle bikes and e-bikes for the family. They will take you to the top of the mountain and you can enjoy the ride back down the trial, to your vehicle.
