This was my second stay here and I can't recommend it enough. Wonderful hosts (critters included!), beautiful/peaceful surroundings, and amazing access to the Virginia Creeper Trail for walking, running, or biking. Be sure to check out Anthony's Desserts in town...

This place is a gem! Sweet location close to the Holston River and the Virginia Creeper Trail! It was lovely to sit on the balcony and watch the sunset. The donkeys are adorable and Christal's care of them is so sweet!

Wish we had found this place sooner. We visit our son at Emory & Henry College from out of state. He enjoyed driving out to see us and walking the Creeper Trail with us. We adored the cats as well!!!

We definitely enjoyed our stay at the farmhouse. It was clean, thoroughly labeled, and we loved the animals. Christal was very kind and accommodating and being set up right across from the river was lovely. I probably did not pay close enough attention to the set up of the house, because I did not realize how little privacy there was between the hosts’ living space and upstairs where we stayed. While you always have the option to close and lock the bedroom doors, any conversation had with the doors open or in the common space can DEFINITELY be heard by the hosts. We prefer to stay in places a little more private, but that was probably my inattention to detail as we booked this stay rather last minute. All in all, Christal was super nice and we really appreciated her hospitality!
