Great little spot to get away from everything

I would not recommend this Airbnb for the safety conscious or solo travelers. The unit itself is cute, with great parking, but the security/safety is less than desirable. The entry door is not your normal exterior house door (i.e. sturdy, solid wood or metal) instead it was an interior door (much like you’d find on an entry to a bathroom or closet), it wasn’t well sealed you could visibly see the outside light thru it, and there was no interior handle to get out once inside. When I brought this to the hosts attention he agreed that it wasn’t a standard door but said that he has not had any safety issues. The door itself concerned me from a personal safety perspective - it would be VERY easy for someone to kick thru. The lack of an exit handle concerned me from a fire safety perspective. Due to the concern I did not end up staying here. The host chose not to refund me which is in line with his cancellation policy and is his right.

Initially walked into a fairly dirty unit. Floors were gross, carpet needed a vacuum, and hair on the countertops for a first impression didn’t sit well for us. BUT -our host Leon did everything he could to fix this issue. He went above and beyond to resolve any complaint we had as soon as possible. Leon continued to check in after the fact to verify we were satisfied. Overall, this small but incredibly charming unit was worth the money and we had an amazing stay. Would give it 4.5/5 if I could.
