Kick back with family and friends at this immaculate lakeside cottage located in Alexander, ME. Poccomoonshine lake boasts some of the most abundant wildlife in Maine. Your stay is guaranteed to be full of loon calls, excellent fresh water fishing and the best sunsets. The cottage comes with your own private dock, Old Town canoe, fire pit, and not to mention comfortable beds and fully stocked kitchen. 20 min away is the Canadian border, upscale golfing, and the cultural hub of downtown Calais. Our space contains everything you need for a fun vacation in rural Maine! The space comes with a fully stocked kitchen, access to a propane grill and private patio off the second floor kitchen. Each bedroom has fresh comfortable linens and natural lighting with great views of the forest. The bathroom is clean and comes with a washer/dryer for our guest that choose to stay for a long haul. Outside there is a quaint path through the forest that leads you to your private dock with canoe and fire pit. The cottage boasts some of the best sunsets. This a a tight knit community/space and there are always lake friends around to share a good time with.

A great summer retreat for families.
Lovely place, perfect location and Linda was a great host.
The cottage was clean and tidy. The peace and quiet there was wonderful. For my husband who needed internet for work, it worked great with no issues. The fishing for bass and perch was amazing when you took the canoe out in front of cottage towards the opposite shore. I would only caution people who have problems walking up stairs or on uneven ground that this lovely place isn't for you. Main living area is upstairs and to get to or view lake, you must go downhill on quaint but uneven path for a ways.
We brought groceries to cook at the property..Although this is in Maine there were no tools or pots to cook lobsters. There wasn’t even pepper in the shaker. We couldn’t use the grill .. it’s filthy! We did dishes for the people before us. The dock in the photo belongs to someone else. The owner should not be able to use that photo. They should give clear directions about what area belongs to the property. The one for Linda’s home couldn’t have supported chairs as shown. There was no a/c and several window screens were missing or had holes so there’s no way to create cross ventilation. I think it’s wrong to lie and rent a place that is dirty. Fees were high for what we got. ..we got duped by Linda
Lovely place on the lake, we had a great stay! We will definitely visit again if we're in the area.

The neighborhood is a quiet close knit space with one road and very limited traffic. A great place to bring your kids and a fun spot to relax with friends.
The cottage to located 500 feet from a public boat landing and you have your own private driveway. Walking everywhere to fish or swim is very possible.
