A perfect base for a visit to the capital, walking distance to lots of public transport options, this spacious double room in a family home is an oasis to return to after a day of exploring. The shared shower room is used only by a maximum of 2 other guests. A kettle and tea and coffee making facilities are provided. Close to shops, restaurants and bars as well as the award-winning Horniman Museum and Gardens. There are steps outside and stairs up to the room. The room is at the top of our family home and overlooks the garden and green space beyond. It's bright and has a big window - with blackout blinds if you need to sleep in! The shower room is next door and is shared with the occupants of another room on the same floor. There's a small fridge on the landing and tea and coffee making facilities in the room. There are 2 flights of stairs up to the room and steps outside. There is a lock on the door of each room.

Relaxed and friendly hosts and a comfortable, quiet room, looking out over a nature reserve. I appreciated having a chair in the room, and a proper reading light over the bed. It's a lovely part of London and I enjoyed exploring it. The only lack was the wifi signal not holding, which didn't matter for me as I wasn't there to work. In every other respect it was a great place to stay.
A lovely spot for a break in London, with buses just a short walk away, to take you to tube stations from which to explore the city. Bed was comfortable, nice big window with a view over the wooded surrounding area and thoughtful touches such as your own pint of milk in the fridge to go with the provided coffee and selection of teas and prompt, helpful communications and directions, make this a recommended, great value London room. Also Abby the cat is very sweet and friendly :)

We're in a leafy area, it's very quiet and green despite being so close to Central London. There are also the parks and gardens locally - Horniman Gardens is a great place for a picnic, there's a small animal enclosure and also an outdoor bar, a Farmers Market on Sundays and a cafe 7 days a week; you can also walk in the beautiful shade of Dulwich and Sydenham Woods. Be prepared for the hill between us and the station - a cab costs around £7 - and to be rewarded with fantastic views towards the city, spectacular at anytime!
A 12-15 minute walk to Forest Hill Station where you can get trains to London Bridge (19 mins) and London Overground to Highbury and Islington (24 mins); change at Canada Water for central London. We're near many bus routes - 185 to Victoria, 176 operates 24/7 to & from Tottenham Court Road (and the heart of the West End), P4 to Dulwich for the Picture Gallery and Brixton (for the Victoria Line), 363 to Elephant and Castle (for Northern and Bakerloo lines), 63 to King's Cross. From Gatwick Airport, you can get trains to Norwood Junction and Clapham Junction, then change for Forest Hill
