Stumpfields is located 3-4 kms away from Ooty, beautifully positioned in an uphill where the city noises wont reach and add to it a breathtaking view of Nilgri valley. Giving a 5 star is a no brainer but I had to settle at 4 star due to following issues: 1. The path leading to property is a bit offroad. Not fit for elderly people if at all you planning to take them. Though tiled road is available in between, mostly it is rocks and mini boulders. 2. Washroom in Bilberry is shared and not lit properly. Vibes are good but practically one more washroom is required, and better lighting is required. 3. Since network issues are there wifi needs to be provided to all rooms for communication just in case of medical/unwarranted exigencies. Apart from these, property is well maintained and spotless. A serene place by the valley to unwind.

The location was serene and embedded in nature with beautiful views from the balcony. It has s a family friendly atmosphere, but not recommended for old people. The host was very helpful in arranging transport, because the location is in a remote area away from the town. The food provided gave us a homely feel. The road leading to the house can be improved and we can see works in progress. The area is frequented by a small herd of wild buffaloes, which gave us a feel of wildlife. I would recommend this place to my friends as well. Thanks for the support provided to make our stay memorable.

Absolutely beautiful location, very homely food (although a little spicy for the palatte, but this was taken into account the next day and we were served a balanced diet in terms of the flavour and spice). The sunrise from living room balcony is impeccable to look at. Only gripe is that the response by staff is a little slow, which can be understood in this case as we visited during peak holiday season (New Year's). But otherwise, it was a fantastic stay.

We had a wonderful stay. The property is beautiful. Everything was as described and we enjoyed the stay thoroughly. The cottage is aesthetic and very well maintained. The garden areas were full of flowers and outdoor space was perfect to watch sunrise. The dogs and cats in the property were friendly and great company. We will miss Konjam the dog especially. A special mention to the cooks. The food was delicious and fresh. The staff members were friendly and helpful. We would love to visit again.
